David D. Gordon
Dave Gordon graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1973. After law school he clerked for Judge Petrie on the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II. He has practiced law for more than 35 years. He enjoys practicing law, especially working with clients to help them attain their hopes and aspirations, or to confront their challenges.
Professionally, his areas of interest as a lawyer include:
Real estate related matters, e.g. condominiums, plats, easements, conveyancing, purchase and sale agreements, water, dock or road maintenance agreements, drafting governing documents such as declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions, bylaws, and similar documents. Dave Gordon represents clients in conflicts with neighbors involving disputes regarding boundaries or access, including claims involving right of use or of title (e.g. adverse possession).
Estate planning matters, including consultation regarding estate, gift and inheritance tax issues, preparation of pre and post nuptial agreements, wills, living and testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, community property agreements, and many other documents or agreements that assure that his clients’ goals and plans are fulfilled.
Probate and trust administration, representation of trustees, personal representatives, agents and other fiduciaries assisting and guiding them to fulfill their responsibilities.
Business matters, including agreements defining relationships, forming and administering entities, including various types of corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.
Appellate representation, including brief writing and oral argument.
Dave is a life long resident of Gig Harbor, of Pierce County, Washington. He is active in his community in many ways; enjoying contributing his time and experience with the hope his efforts will help make his community a little better place to live. He has been a member of the Gig Harbor Rotary Club since 1976. He has been married (to Lyn) more than 40 years, has two daughters and several grandsons.
